Location: Malibu, CA Distance: 106 miles Elevation Gain: 2999 ft Time: 6h 20m Weather: gorgeous Southern California Day all day Comment: this is a relatively flat ride up the coast from Neptun’s Net Restaurant in Malibu, winding through Ventura and then turning inland towards Ojai. About 5 miles before reaching Ojai a sharp turn left marks the beginning of a series of climbs to Casitas Pass (3 climbs average grade about 6% topping out at 8%). A great downhill points towards Carpenteria and from there the return trip to Malibu begins with a number of ‘rollers’.
